The Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) is a breeding summer visitor and passage migrant in Bulgaria. Primarily inhabits freshwater and saltwater wetlands, including coastal areas and inland water bodies like the Bourgas Wetlands, the Danube River, and the Struma River. The species nests on artificial islands and platforms, particularly within the Bourgas Wetlands
